Meet Our Founder

Taylor is a healthcare administrator, nonprofit founder, dance educator, and woman of faith who believes that our gifts are meant to serve others and glorify God.

Originally from Orlando, Florida, she began dancing at a young age as a competitive dancer. Dance quickly became more than a hobby, it became a source of confidence, discipline, creativity, and community.

As she grew in her faith and professional career, she came to understand that movement, wellness, and artistic expression can also be powerful tools for connection and personal growth. Professionally, she has dedicated her career to healthcare leadership. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Health Administration from Florida Atlantic University, where she also pursued dance coursework and performed in university showcases. She later earned her Master's Degree in Health Administration from University of Central Florida and completed an Administrative Fellowship with Memorial Healthcare System.

Throughout her career, she worked in healthcare operations, finance, human resources, project management, and executive leadership initiatives. Working in healthcare has given her a unique perspective on the physical, emotional, and spiritual challenges many individuals face.

Every day, she sees the effects of stress, burnout, inactivity, isolation, and the growing need for community-centered wellness. Over time, she felt called to merge her professional experience, love for the arts, and faith into something greater than herself.

That calling became Strong Body Soft Heart LLC, doing business as The Upper Room.
